Prerequisites
For Skills Ignition SG Grow with Google Cloud Technology program, candidates need to satisfy below mentioned eligibility criteria
- Be Singapore Citizen or SPR with two years of work experience
- Unemployed / working part time with minimal CPF contribution
- Graduated in or before 2018 from ITE, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions.
- Completed National Service (NS) in or before 2018
- Not enrolled in any other SG United Skills Programs
Full-time employed citizens and PRs whose jobs are not affected by COVID will not be eligible for this program.

This is a 6-month vocational training program. The course consists of three hour long interactive live classes (conducted virtually via Google meet) with our Google authorized trainers from Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays). For more detail download the Brochure.

Certification Assessment
This SKILLS IGNITION SG is a 6-month vocational training program. The course consists of three hour long interactive live classes (conducted virtually via Google meet) with our Google authorized trainers from Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays).
In addition to the live classes, we also recommend learners to set aside an additional 2-3 hours for self-study, assignment completion and other hands-on practice.
Google cloud official courses will be hosted on Coursera. Learners will have 24×7 chat support from Coursera’s support staff. The applied learning modality will be delivered by Qwiklabs. These hands- on labs will allow you to skill up on Google cloud in a real sandbox environment.
Please note that there will not be any job attachment or on-the-job training for this program.

What is the application deadline, and when will I hear back? When will the program start?
Candidates are being accepted on a rolling basis for this program, so please apply as soon as possible since the application form may close as soon as positions fill up. Due to the high volume of submissions, feedback and status updates on individual applications will not be provided, but please rest assured that you will be contacted if you are selected to move forward with enrolment. Please note that you will only be contacted if you are shortlisted as a candidate.
When should I expect to start the program?
This upcoming Program 1 cohort may begin as early as January 2021 with new classes commencing every month thereafter. For Program 2, you may expect to start in March or April 2021.
Who is eligible for this program?
For Skills Ignition SG Grow with Google Cloud Technology program, candidates need to satisfy below mentioned eligibility criteria

What is the course fee and payment structure?
The subsidised course fee is SGD 500. If you are a Singapore Citizen, you may use your SkillsFuture credits to pay the fees. SPR can pay using bank transfer or PayNow while registering for the course. This is a onetime payment to be made at the beginning of the program.
Is there any training allowance?
You will receive a training allowance of SGD 1500/-* per month basis you maintain an attendance of at least 75% per month for the live classes daily and shall pass the assessment.
*subject to other funding you may be receiving from the government
How will I receive my training allowance every month?
All training allowance payment will be conducted by SkillsFuture SG via PayNow transfer. To ensure you receive your training allowance on time each month, do ensure you link your NRIC to your PayNow account.
Training allowance will be released in the Second week of every month.
What if I am already receiving funding from the government?
If you are already receiving funding like SIRS or the Covid Support Grant, please note that your training allowance will be $500 or $700 respectively. For more information, please contact Skills

Do I need an IT background to enroll in this program?
Due to the technical nature of the program, we do encourage learners without any IT background to complete the two prerequisite courses as mentioned below available on Coursera before starting the course.

The two prerequisite courses will enable students without prior IT background to gain a better foundational understanding of IT computing and ensure they are able to meet the demands of the course.
What is the minimum system requirement for this program?
We require 8GB RAM and Windows 10 for the first month. Subsequently, any operating system will work.

In this program, you will learn to deliver secure computing services - servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence - over “the cloud”, offering faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale for businesses.
Is there an exam at the end of the course?
Once you successfully finish the course, you will be eligible to sit for the exam conducted by Google. Agilitics will provide all learners with a one-time complimentary examination voucher at the end of the course.
What is the structure of the exam?
The exam will be a two hour long, Multiple Choice Questions exam.
How long is the exam voucher valid?
The exam voucher is valid for 6 months from the date of course completion.
If I fail the exam, can I retake the exam?
If you fail the Exam, you may retake the exam, but you must wait at least fourteen (14) days before doing so. If you fail the Exam a second time, you may retake the exam, but must wait at least sixty (60) days before doing so. If you fail the exam a third time, you may retake the Exam, but you must wait at least one (1) year before doing so.
What if I find part-time employment during the duration of the course?
Part-time employment is also allowed during the duration of the course. You will have to ensure that you are attending the live classes everyday and are an active learner ( submitting courses, assignments as per the deadlines given, etc).
What if I find full-time employment during the duration of the course?
There are two options if a learner finds employment during the 6 months.
1) You can let us know and we will withdraw you from the program. If you find a full-time job during Month 1 - Month 3, you will receive 33.33% refund for the course fees of SGD 500 via your original mode of payment. Please note that onboarding session is considered as Day 1 of the course.
You will no longer be eligible for a refund if you find a full-time job during Month 4 - Month 6 and you want to withdraw.
2) You may continue with the course if you find a full-time employment basis that satisfies few conditions. You will have to sign a Course Commitment Form that states that you will be able to meet all the requirements of the course as indicated below fully commit to the program (6 Months) and meet the attendance requirement (75% minimum per month) to finish all courses by the stipulated deadlines as advised.
What if I can’t cope with the course?
If you would like to withdraw during Month 1 - Month 3, you will have to inform us and we will withdraw you from the course. You will also receive 33.33% refund for the course fees of SGD 500 via your original mode of payment. Please note that onboarding session is considered as Day 1 of the course.
If you would like to withdraw during Month 4 - Month 6, you will no longer be eligible for a refund.
